They all then heard at first hand that there would be no play. After coffee (excellent) and bacon rolls (equally good) a draw was made for three qualifying places on offer. The lucky three drawn from the beer glass were Brian Lever (Great Yarmouth & Caister), Mark Betteridge (Bristol & Clifton) and Graham Finney (Mickleover). Despite the weather looking as if it might improve, exactly as forecast, the Heavens opened on the stroke of 2.30 and as the picture Tweeted by Beau Desert shows the course went under water
